Juventus’ latest signing, Edon Zhegrova, has officially joined his new teammates on the training pitch in Turin, just days before the club faces Inter in the first Derby d’Italia of the season.
The 26-year-old winger arrived from Lille on transfer deadline day in a deal worth €14.3 million plus performance-related bonuses, signing a contract with the Bianconeri until June 2030. Zhegrova, who will wear the No. 11 shirt, was unable to represent Kosovo in their September internationals against Switzerland and Sweden due to the timing of the move.
Back in club colors, Zhegrova wasted no time integrating with the group. Posting on social media after his first session, he captioned a training photo with the iconic phrase: “Fino alla Fine”—the rallying cry of Juventus supporters worldwide.
While coach Igor Tudor is expected to ease him into Serie A, Zhegrova’s progress has been encouraging. His technical ability and attacking creativity could provide an immediate boost to a Juventus side aiming to compete for the Scudetto.
The winger also benefits from a familiar face in the dressing room. Former Lille teammate Jonathan David, who joined Juventus earlier this summer, praised Zhegrova’s talent, highlighting his “fantastic left foot and dribbling qualities”. Their reunion could prove valuable as both players adapt to the demands of Italian football.
Juventus meet Inter on Saturday, September 13, at the Allianz Stadium, and fans will be watching closely to see if Zhegrova makes his Serie A debut in one of the most high-profile fixtures on the calendar.
